Luton Youth Cantores

Luton Youth Cantores was formed in 2006 from the senior girls in Luton Youth Choir, directed by Kerry Watson, Music Service Manager with Luton Music Service. The choir has over 50 girls and is directed by Kerry and Julia Fraser – both choral conductors for many years,  and Nick Ridout – rehearsal and concert pianist.

Cantores has a varied repertoire, from pop and jazz to the choral classics and takes part in concerts throughout the year, as well as touring occasionally in Europe. We are always looking for new girls to join us!  If you are interested in joining the  choir, you just need to be able to sing in tune – there is no formal audition.  Reading music would be advantageous but certainly not necessary!  We record many of the songs we sing so that you can learn them at home (see Practice Tracks tab).

Feel free to come along to any rehearsal during term time, or email lutonmusicservice@luton.gov.uk  for further information.
