Comprised of players from 11 to 19-years-old, Luton Youth Concert Band has been guided by the baton of Simon Router for over 20 years. Brass, woodwind and percussion players enjoy a range of concert band classics, contemporary music as well as popular crowd-pleasers.
We rehearse every Tuesday during the school term and perform in an end of term concert with other Music Service ensembles. We also take part in local and national music festivals and are often asked to play at local events and fund raisers.
We tour across Europe occasionally, most recently to Belgium 2011 and Germany 2017.
We are always looking for new players of grade 5 standard and above.
Feel free to come along to any rehearsal during term time, or email lutonmusicservice@luton.gov.uk for further information.
